Rachelle Rosenberg

Rachelle began her career as a litigator as an associate at Dreier LLP, where she represented large corporations in a broad range of complex commercial litigations in federal and state courts, regulatory proceedings, arbitrations and mediations.

Rachelle then joined Marcus Rosenberg & Diamond, where her practice began to focus on real estate related disputes, such as landlord-tenant proceedings, lease renewal disputes, construction defects, co-op and condo disputes, including sponsor litigation and partnership disputes involving real estate.

In June 2014, Rachelle, together with Elliot Steinmetz, formed RSPC, where Rachelle is able to represent RSPC’s clients with the dedication, style and fervor that is her own. While a fierce litigator Rachelle approaches each litigation as a business person in an attempt to use alternative dispute resolutions to alleviate litigation costs and time. Rachelle is responsive and attentive to all of RSPC’s litigation clients whether a large corporation or an individual owning a single residential home. The modernized set up of RSPC allows Rachelle to respond to clients from almost anywhere.

Rachelle received a Juris Doctorate from Fordham University, where she was a member of the Fordham Urban Law Journal and an Editor of the Fordham Sports Law Forum. Rachelle received a Bachelor of Arts from Brooklyn College.

Rachelle is a member of the Bars of New York and New Jersey and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for New Jersey and the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Elliot Steinmetz

Prior to forming RSPC, Elliot served as a senior vice president and associate general counsel for Seneca Mortgage Servicing LLC, where he was responsible for handling all corporate, litigation and insurance matters for the company. Before joining Seneca, Elliot was an associate general counsel at Arbor Realty Trust, Inc., a publicly traded real estate investment trust. Elliot’s prior experience included working as an associate in Weissmann Abruzzo LLP’s commercial real estate transactions practice.

Elliot joined Rachelle Rosenberg in 2014 to form RSPCso that he could bring his own approach and energy to his representation of clients in real estate transactions. Elliot’s experience as an associate general counsel for a publicly traded real estate investment trust allows him to approach his transactions from both a business and legal perspective on his clients’ behalf. His financing background gives him a great advantage when dealing with banks and lenders on real estate acquisitions. With round the clock availability and quick turnaround times thanks to the modern approach of the firm, RSPC’s clients always know they can count on Elliot to help get their deals done.

Elliot received a Juris Doctorate from St. John’s University School of Law, where he was a senior staff member of the New York International Law Review and co-president of the Jewish Law Students Association. Elliot earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the Sy Syms School of Business at Yeshiva University, where he also played for the men’s NCAA Division III basketball team.

Elliot is also the head men’s basketball coach at Yeshiva University in New York City. His Yeshiva University Maccabees have qualified for the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament in 2018, 2020 and 2022. In 2020, the YU Macs finished their regular season with an undefeated 19-0 record in the Skyline Conference to earn the conference’s automatic bid. Over the next two years the YU Macs won a historic 50 games in a row and were ranked #1 in NCAA Division III nationally for much of the 2021-22 season. He also serves on the board of various non-profit organizations including, Maccabi USA, NCSY NY and serves on the advisory board for Athletes for Israel.

Elliot is admitted to practice law in both New York and Connecticut.

Nathan Cohen

Nathan is an accomplished commercial litigator with a wealth of experience. After graduating from New York University School of Law in 2003, Nathan began his career at Kaye Scholer LLP as an associate in their complex commercial litigation department, where he represented large corporations in the pharmaceuticals/health care, insurance and real estate industries.  Nathan has since honed his skills in boutique law firm settings, gaining valuable insights beyond his “big law” tenure at Kaye Scholer LLP. His journey has equipped him with significant state and federal court experience, and a deep understanding of complex commercial litigation.

Nathan represents individuals and companies across diverse industries, including real estate, construction, health care, securities, private lending, cash advance, insurance, apparel, and food services. His expertise spans all phases of complex commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution. Nathan’s proven track record of effective negotiation, oral advocacy, motion practice, and trial work has achieved successful resolutions for both plaintiff-side and defendant-side clients.

Nathan is committed to cost-effective solutions that align with his clients’ business objectives. Regardless of case size or complexity, his dedication remains unwavering, ensuring top-notch service.

Leonard Gekhman

Leonard is an attorney with a vast range of experience in all stages of litigation, from inception to trial as well as transactional law.  Leonard is a cum laude graduate of New York law School, where he served as an Article Editor of the prestigious Journal of International and Comparative Law and was a recipient of Dean’s Merit Scholarship and Public interest Fellowship Award.

Since graduation, Leonard has represented clients in broad range of complex civil litigation matters including Racketeer Influenced and Corrupt Organizations Act (“RICO”), civil rights, insurance, medical malpractice, copyright, securities, real estate law, health law and contract litigation. Leonard began his career at the Law Offices of Michael Haskel, where he honed his skills drafting and arguing appeals, dispositive and trial motions, conducting trials, hearings, arbitrations, depositions and court-ordered mediations in New York State and Federal Courts.  He then transitioned to the law firm of Gabriele and Marano where he represented physicians and other medical professionals in litigation defense. At Gabriele and Marano, Leonard counseled corporations and individual clients on matters pertaining to professional liability and healthcare law.

At RSPC., Leonard applies his legal skills to representation of commercial real estate companies, investors and lenders in all stages of litigation and real estate transactions. He manages a heavy caseload of commercial litigation, commercial landlord-tenant and real estate matters from inception to final adjudication in New York State and Federal Courts. Leonard routinely prepares and argues motions and appeals and conducts trials and hearings.

In his free time, Leonard enjoys volunteering for community organizations and spending time with his family.  He is a corporate secretary of iMishpacha Inc., a grassroots organization of Russian-speaking Jewish families in the New York Metropolitan area.

Anne Specht

Anne Specht is an attorney specializing in real estate and related financing, dedicated to providing exceptional white glove service and strategic guidance to her clients.  Anne’s experience as counsel to a major title insurance agency has provided her with a keen understanding of title issues and the ability to successfully negotiate and resolve complex matters.  Anne also has extensive experience in lender representation and providing transaction specific solutions customized to meet lender requirements.

Anne is admitted to practice in the State of New York and the State of Florida.

Efraim S. Lipschutz

Efraim began his career as a litigator representing individuals and small businesses in commercial and general civil litigation in state and federal courts. Efraim’s prior experience includes corporate litigation, real estate litigation, commercial lease disputes, and appeals.

At RSPC, Efraim represents clients in construction-related agreements, real estate litigation and commercial foreclosure practice. His specific focus is representing developers and neighbors with license and access agreements and RPAPL § 881 actions.

Efraim received a Juris Doctorate from City University of New York School of Law, where he was a senior staff member of the CUNY Law Review, president of the Jewish Law Students Association and president of the ping pong club. He received a Bachelor of Arts from Touro University.

Efraim is a member of the Bars of New York and New Jersey and is admitted to practice in the United States District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Efraim is fluent in spoken and written Yiddish.

Evan Clark

Prior to joining RSPC, Evan started his career at Pastore LLC where he was worked on transactional and litigation matters involving banks, investment advisors, high net worth individuals and local businesses. At RSPC, Evan, focuses on commercial litigation, negotiation and drafting of license agreements, collection actions for unpaid rent and drafting of leases and related amendments.

Evan received a bachelor’s degree from College of the Holy Cross and a juris doctorate from Albany Law School. At Holy Cross, Evan was a leading member of the percussion ensemble and marching band while majoring in music and history. At Albany Law, Evan participated in the Donna J. Morse negotiation competition and the Gabrielle mock trial competition while focusing his studies on contract and business formation law.

In his free time, Evan is a New York Rangers fan and loves to play drums, write on his sports blog, go hiking and spend time with friends and family.
